This weekend, I had the pleasure of watching the entire 5th season of Doctor Who with my parents. I've seen the whole thing before, but they haven't.
There is nothing that is not fantastic about that show. It's beyond my ability to describe. It's not just about the aliens, the time-machine, or any of those things. It's about good triumphing over evil, love winning over hate, acceptance over ignorance, and most importantly, never really growing up.
To have been around for almost 50 years, the creators had to have done something right. This latest season was especially terrific, and I heartily recommend that anyone who's never travelled with the TARDIS do so. Something of your inner child comes alive when you do.
To quote the Master, "A world without the Doctor scarcely bears thinking about."
